NORWAY -Four candidates are competing Tuesday for three seats on the Norway City Council. The candidates are incumbents Paul Hayes, Mark Bubloni, George Bal and Jeremy Oja. The top two finishers will receive four-year terms while the third finisher will gain a two-year term. Lee R. Meneghini is unopposed on the Norway ballot for a partial term ending Nov. 8, 2011.

Boston Medical Center’s Elders Living At Home Program Receives Grant From Admninistration On Aging

The Elders Living at Home Program (ELAHP) at Boston Medical Center has received a three-year, $864,400 Aging in Place Grant from the Administration on Aging (AoA). The grant will be used to develop, implement and evaluate an intervention to support formerly homeless elders who have already transitioned to housing but need support to maintain it. ELAHP was one of 14 recipients nationwide to receive this grant from the AoA’s new Community Innovations for Aging in Place Initiative.
